How To Create A Notification

After installing the Convertzy script and setting up a campaign, you can now start to create notifications using our range of growth widgets.

 

Creating a new notification

  1. Make sure that you've already created a campaign and it's listed within the campaigns box on your dashboard
  2. Click on the campaign that you'd like to create a new notification for (or to edit an existing notification)
  3. Click on the 'Create Notification' button
  4. Add a name for your new notification (e.g. '[Website Name] newsletter widget')
  5. Select the type of notification you'd like to create (you can click on any listed to see a live preview)
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Create' button
  7. You will then be taken to the notification settings page (each will look different depending on the type of notification)

Customising your notification

Settings > Basic

  1. Add custom text that you'd like to displayed in the notification
  2. Add any custom images/icons to include
  3. Add a notification URL if you'd like the user to be taken to a page after clicking on the notification (for certain notification types only)
  4. Click 'Update' to save the changes

Settings > Triggers

  1. Confirm whether you'd like the notification to be seen across all pages, or on specific URLs
  2. Add a delay trigger (delay, exit intent or scroll) and input a delay time where relevant
  3. Confirm if the notification should be displayed on all devices and if it should only be shown once per session
  4. Click 'Update' to save the changes

Settings > Display

  1. Confirm where you would like the notification to be displayed on the screen and how long it should be shown for
  2. Confirm whether the vistor should be given an option to 'close' the notification
  3. Click 'Update' to save the changes

Settings > Customize

  1. Add any custom colours you'd like to use for text and background colours
  2. Select the border radius, width and colour you'd like to use
  3. Confirm the fade in and fade out animations for the notification
  4. Click 'Update' to save the changes

Setting your notification live

Your notification is now all set to go. The final step is to toggle the switch next to the notification name to change the status to on.
