How To Install The Convertzy Script

2 minutes read

For each campaign created you need to add the provided Convertzy script to your website so that we can display the notifications for that specific campaign.

This is a relatively straight forward process and is similar to adding other scripts that you may already be familiar with, such as the Google Analytics tracking code.

  1. Click on the 'Copy Pixel' button after you've created the campaign
  2. Paste the Javascript code into your website header just before the closing < /head> tag
  3. Clear the cache on your website (if you're using a caching system) and return to the Install page to confirm installation

The header code can be edited within the Theme Header (header.php) file for the current theme in use. You can access this by clicking on 'Appearance' and then 'Editor' from the admin section. If the Theme Header file isn't listed under the 'Theme Files' check if your theme has custom options for adding additional header scripts.

Alternatively you can use a free plugin:

Adding the script on Google Tag Manager

The Convertzy pixel code must be installed directly on to your website. This is because the pixel code checks the domain that the request is coming from (in order to display the correct notifications and run other calculations). Google Tag Manager works as a proxy and therefore the Convertzy pixel code cannot be verified as coming from your domain.
